Versamail 4.0.1 is worth installing

Recently, I upgraded the standard Palm mail application Versamail on my Treo to version 4.0.1 build 77. It contains improvements with Gmail IMAP and Exchange Activesync.

This is not exactly a new upgrade, since it was published last year. But even if you are not using either Gmail or Exchange Activesync, it is still worth upgrading. One of the best improvements is the sending and receiving of messages in the background. You send an email and the app is available immediately to read or type the next message. Before, the quickest solution when sending multiple messages was to select Outbox for each message and then send them all at once from there. This is easier.

Follow the instructions from Palm. It works on my Palm Treo 755p with Telus even though it only specifies the Centro for Sprint. It is basically an over the air upgrade of the existing app.
